Common Questions

How do I add a coffee to my shelf?

Tap the plus button on the Shelf tab, search by coffee or roaster, and pick the right entry from the results. Set status to Own, then add origin, process, and roast level. You can also point your camera at the bag to scan the label, or long-press a coffee from any browse list to add it directly.

Why doesn’t my coffee appear in search?

The catalog covers thousands of coffees but is not exhaustive. If a bag is missing, use the Suggest a Coffee link at the bottom of the search results and include the roaster, name, origin, and a source link. Curated additions usually land in the next catalog update. You can also scan the label to add a bag the catalog does not have yet.

Is Percolate free, and is there anything to cancel?

Percolate is completely free — there is no subscription, no Pro tier, and nothing to cancel. Every feature is included, and there are no ads. The only revenue is a small affiliate commission when you choose to buy a bag through a roaster link, at no extra cost to you. How do I export my cupping history?

Open the Profile tab and tap Export Data. You will receive a CSV of your shelf, cupping log, ratings, and notes by email within a few minutes. The export is generated on demand and is yours to keep, with no expiry.

What data does Percolate collect?

Your account identity from Apple or Google sign-in, the shelf and cupping-log entries you create, basic device diagnostics, and anonymous usage analytics. We do not collect location, health, contacts, or financial data. Percolate is free, so there are no payments to process. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

How do I delete my Percolate account?

Open the app, go to the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account, then confirm. This permanently deletes your shelf, cupping log, flavor-quiz history, taste profile, ratings, and community posts. The action cannot be undone. If you have lost access to the app, see the Delete Your Account page for an email-based option.
